The Waterside Haven
Timeless Harmony
This family moved from their urban home in Denver into a new build in the suburbs with their young kids. They wanted their new home to reflect some of the culture and style they were used to in the city. This project included full design services for this blank slate home. The focus was transforming spaces from floor to ceiling to add warmth and dimension to the space. This home is now comfortable with a modern edge. Every piece was selected to add visual interest and drama, transforming the space into a kid friendly living gallery that sparks conversation and inspiration.
Our client approached us after purchasing a home with stunning views that suited their large family but did not reflect their unique design style. They wanted to focus on transforming the main floor living space, which included the entry, powder bath, living room, dining room, and a patio addition, into an indoor-outdoor transition area for entertaining guests on warm Colorado days.
Collaboratively, we crafted a home where the timeless elegance of mid-century modern design meets the free-spirited bohemian aesthetic. The result is a space that is both sophisticated and eclectic, while remaining family-friendly. The family can now enjoy indoor-outdoor entertaining with their new dry bar, situated between the freshly styled living room and the backyard. To accommodate their large family and frequent guests, we introduced semi-custom booth seating in the dining area. Clean lines, geometric shapes, wood tones, and natural materials blend harmoniously with bold colors, rich textures, and globally inspired accent items. This project was a joy for us to work on, and we are thrilled that the family loves their new space as much as we enjoyed creating it.
At the heart of the home, our priority was the kitchen once purchased. This family of four desired a timeless and playful character, expanded views of the open space, functionality, storage, and prep friendly countertops.
The original configuration of the kitchen included a non-functioning walk-in pantry and an island with a gas burner located in the middle of it with no countertop overhang or room for seating. We increased the island’s depth without changing the floorplan of this room by taking down the pantry. This allowed us to move the refrigerator to that location, expanding the new wall of pantry cabinetry. By reducing the depth of the pantry cabinetry, we were able to utilize the extra square footage in the island for seating. The views were expanded with a new exterior door and a large bifold window. The pass-through window is an extension of the kitchen into the outdoor dining area as the patio bar seating.
The timeless character was brought back into this home through the rich warm tones in the cabinetry and countertops. Playful charm was brought in by using statement pendants, asymmetrical hardware and cement tile backsplash behind the green oven range. The styling feels effortless and gives the perfect pop of color to the playful palette kitchen.
After moving into a new build community our client quickly realized that their home lacked the personality they craved. They asked us to help transform their main floor which included an entry, office, living room, dining room, kitchen and mudroom into a home they felt reflected who they were. With the use of clean lines, organic forms, and a neutral color palette we were able to create a space that feels both sophisticated and inviting and that blends mid-century modern design with the refined comfort of transitional style.
Together we set the tone of the project by introducing a backdrop of wall treatments (wallpaper and slat wood wall), large bold lighting, gallery walls and artwork as well as mid century modern furniture pieces and warm wood tones. Soft neutral hues dominate the color palette, creating a serene backdrop for pops of color and textures to shine. Overall, this home is a perfect marriage of mid-century modern sophistication and transitional comfort and finally feels like home.
This was a styling and accessorizing project on our client's secondary home. They had just completed a renovation and were ready for it to all come together.
Only a few pieces of furniture were needed so our focus was on wall art, bedding, mood lighting, rugs, surface decor which included built-ins and bookshelves.
The design is sophisticated and luxurious but still relaxed and inviting. Neutral textures, hues, organic elements and faux plants are carried throughout to compliment the gorgeous landscape that surrounds the home.
This family purchased a home with good bones but felt it needed updating and renovations to match their needs and design style. Specifically, they wanted to update/ renovate all bathrooms, furnish their master bedroom, formal dining room, eat in kitchen, living room and create a home office that could serve their business needs. We embarked on this transformation journey, blending modernity with natural warmth, infusing minimalism with a touch of funk, and merging tranquility with luxurious comfort. Every choice was made with care, ensuring materials and furnishings would endure the lively energy of a home filled with pets and growing children while also creating a serene and sophisticated atmosphere.
When we first entered this ranch home, it already had a high end / luxury feel. The homeowners had worked with other interior designers in past homes and have a natural eye for design so it was an honor to help them finish their new home. We were able to help them with rearranging their existing furniture, purchasing additional furniture and decor throughout where necessary, adding wall treatments, and creating an outdoor oasis for them to enjoy. It is the perfect place to relax and reset or to host large gatherings.
The young family who built this open concept home was excited to immerse themselves in their new community. They reached out to us to fully furnish the first floor of the home, switch out builder grade lighting, add new lighting and character to their fireplace. The design aesthetic for this home is modern rustic with a touch of modern farmhouse. The style is warm with rich neutral textures, mixed metals, reclaimed wood and bold pops of black. The home is now welcoming as they entertain new friends and family. It truly feels like home.

After many years of living in their home, this family approached us ready to update the main floor. They not only wanted cosmetic improvements but were also struggling with the functionality of their living room and the small dining area adjacent to their kitchen. Together, we enhanced the layout of their living room using existing furniture, adjusted the scale of the fireplace to create a focal point, and reconfigured and added seating to their built-ins, making the space more practical for their family. To improve the functionality of their kitchen, we extended the island and added a semi-custom banquette with a large round table, transforming an almost obsolete area into a highly usable space. We refreshed the kitchen with new paint, countertops, backsplash, and pulls, and updated the lighting throughout the home. Incorporating timeless furniture, neutral tones, natural materials, and a balance of modern and traditional decor, we created a space that is both classic and cozy, inviting and functional.
Seventeen years after the construction of their home, our clients approached us with a desire for an update. While everything functioned well, they felt that the aesthetic no longer aligned with their design preferences. Together, we defined their new design direction and began the transformation of their main floor, striving to achieve a balance between timelessness and contemporary flair.
The renovation included painting the walls all one neutral color, refinishing the floors, updating lighting and plumbing fixtures, hardware, window treatments, increasing the scale and redesigning the fireplace, modifying existing built-ins, adding a new custom-built storage bench into the entryway, and adding wall treatments throughout. Additionally, in the kitchen we repainted the island and eat in kitchen cabinetry, replaced countertops and backsplash.
We curated a selection of furnishings and decor that exuded modern elegance while maintaining a sense of timelessness. The home is layered with soft textures, warm wood accents, natural, and organic decor elements. The end result is a home that is crisp and inviting, filled with brightness and warmth, perfect for hosting gatherings of any scale.
From our first visit to the house, we instantly bonded with the woman who owns this property. She was wearing her signature color, pink, and was so welcoming and Joyful to be around that it felt as if we were long time friends. She was excited to finally have her home reflect her personality and update the overall functionality. Her style is vibrant, sophisticated, modern with a touch of traditional, she has a beautiful art collection, loves color with the exception of her tranquil master bathroom.
This 1946 home is located in Denver, Colorado and while some of renovation was merely cosmetic there were also nonfunctioning bathrooms, fireplace and a new lighting plan. The design process began with contractor specifications and went through the full design process of styling and accessorizing.
